There was never any debate about what ZACH wanted to do with his life. He performed his first official production at the age of 7, but he had been entertaining people long before that. From the time ZACH first set foot on stage, it was clear that’s where he belonged. The experience of live performance dictated his life from then on. He began studying voice at the age of 10 with critically acclaimed NH Voice Teacher Michele Henderson. By the time he graduated high school, ZACH had been in roughly 70 productions in the Southern NH area. Not only was ZACH gaining experience as a performer in his own right, he was one of the founding members of the Derryfield Repertory Theatre, where ZACH first began his teaching endeavors. Students who attended were between the ages of 8-18. ZACH served as the Musical Director for MainStage camp performances.

ZACH continued his pursuit when he attended the Hartt School of Music graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre. At Hartt, ZACH trained with some of the theatre industry’s finest. Not only did ZACH study various acting techniques such as Meisner, Viewpoints, Classical, & Method, but ZACH continued his Vocal Training with a NYC based Liz Caplan Associate Marishka Weizbicki. He continued teaching private voice & piano lessons to elementary school students during his time at school.

Upon graduation from the Hartt School in 2013, ZACH quickly moved to New York City after landing a role in the Off-Broadway production of in The Civil War at the Lucille Lortel Theatre. ZACH worked closely with students when he made his National Tour debut in the Kerrigan & Lowdermilk production of Henry & Mudge. He continued to hone his skills as a musical theatre performer, and also as a music director/composer. ZACH musically directed the Off-Broadway production of The Anthem!, and also participated in the BMI Musical Theatre Writers Workshop. He has been fortunate enough to work both regionally and internationally as a professional actor. He has been a proud member of Actors Equity Association since 2009. During his time in NYC, ZACH worked as vocal coach to fellow actors in the Broadway community.

ZACH served as the resident Music Director and teacher at the PlayGroup Theatre in White Plains, NY in the fall of 2016. ZACH musically directed the MainStage production of Hairspray! in addition to leading a cabaret outreach group, teaching private voice lessons, and teaching an introduction to theatre class for young artists.

ZACH played the role of “Babkak” in the First National Tour of Disney’s Aladdin opposite Adam Jacobs beginning in 2017. ZACH did over 1200 performances of the show. During this time, ZACH continued to take voice lessons himself with Matt Farnsworth, one of the industries most prestigious voice teachers. ZACH was able to learn first hand what it meant to healthily sustain the human voice during a long and demanding theatrical run. ZACH will be reprising his role in Aladdin in the New York Company upon the reopening of Broadway.

ZACH brings humor, humility, and first hand experience to every lesson. It is imperative that each lesson is a safe and healthy space for students to grow and explore their instrument. ZACH’s goal is to inspire beginners and experienced vocalists alike to achieve their fullest potential, while having fun along the way.
